General Questions

how long Is your waitlist?

There is not a good answer to that question. There are so many variables. It can depend on your child's age as well as the time of year you are looking for space. Once we find we will have an opening, we look at our waiting list to make a determination. We match the space and room availability with the child of the appropriate age and expected date of enrollment. There is no average time for a space becoming available. For Parents

when do children move up to next room?

Our children transition to their new classrooms during June, July and August. Once it has been determined that we have a space, the directors will look at several factors. Consideration is given for a child's date of birth as well as his/her development. Teachers are consulted as they are the most familiar with the child. Parents are contacted concerning the move, and a transition plan is implemented so the child can have the opportunity to be introduced gradually to his/her new environment.

Does my tuition change when my child has a birthday?

No. Tuition is calculated based on the classroom and group size as well as the ratios that we maintain.

must I have my child at school by a certain time each day?

No. We recognize that families have different schedules based on their needs and those can change from day to day. We ask that you call so we can let teachers know if they will be coming in late. We also ask that you make us aware of an early pick up in order to have your child ready for you. We will welcome your child to the group at any time during the day.

We do ask you to be aware of your child's hesitation to join the group if he/she comes in at a later time. You might want to allow a little more time than usual for him/her to become part of the class as he/she sees the children already in the midst of group or play time. If you bring your child during nap time, please help him/her to enter the room with the least amount of disruption so as not to disturb nap time for the rest of the group.

How can I be involved at ecc?

The Early Childhood Center Parent Appreciation Committee (PAC)  is composed of parent volunteers acting collectively to promote a positive supportive relationship between teachers, staff, and families through a variety of activities, including classroom and facility enhancements, teacher and staff appreciation, and parent outreach and advocacy.  To contact the PAC representative please email eccpacmail@gmail.com.

do you offer a sibling discount?

No, we do not. Being a nonprofit center, our costs are directly related to our expenses. Having more than one child in a family attending our center does not change our expenses for that child.

what if I want to take my child out of the center?

Parents must give a 30-day notice in writing to withdraw their child. You may hand deliver it or email it to the center. You are responsible for the tuition for that 30-day period.
