The Early Childhood Center is an outreach mission of West Market Street Church. The ECC maintains a five-star center with the Division of Child Development through the Department of Health and Human Services of the State of North Carolina. We strive to offer high quality care and a developmentally appropriate program for children of families in the community and in the church. It is our goal to work in partnership with parents to best meet the needs of the child. We respect each child as an individual and use teaching techniques that are relevant to the child's learning. To offer developmentally appropriate activities and experiences which will enhance growth in the areas of cognitive, sensorimotor, social/ emotional and physical development.
To develop a partnership between parents and The Early Childhood Center staff in order to best meet the needs of the child.
To promote a positive self-concept within the child, which gives the child the ability to develop respect for self and others.
To foster growth in understanding and appreciation of God’s love and of the world around us.
